How to make your QR code

1. 1Upload your PDF to Google Drive, Dropbox, or your website and copy the public share link.
2. 2Check that your share settings allow anyone with the link to view the file without signing in.
3. 3Paste the PDF link into the generator below and customize your code colors or logo.
4. 4Scan the preview on your phone using cellular data (not your office account) to confirm it opens without a login wall.
5. 5Download your PNG or SVG file and add a short label underneath so people know what document will open.

Tips before you print

• Export your PDF with compressed images so it stays under 3 MB and loads quickly on average mobile connections.
• Use a single-column layout with at least 14pt text so customers do not have to pinch and zoom sideways on a phone screen.
• Test the link in an incognito browser window before printing to make sure you did not accidentally copy a private folder link.
• Avoid Replacing a file in Google Drive by uploading a brand-new file unless you use Drive's 'Manage versions' feature, because a new file creates a new URL and breaks a static code.
